About Us

     PICTURED ABOVE: Buzz King

The Little King Ranch is located in the middle of Washington State, along the I-90 freeway at exit 149.  We enjoy dry weather most of the year.  We farm with circle pivot irrigation.  If we need rain, we turn it on.   This makes a comfortable and healthy climate for our stallions, broodmares, and foals.  We raise and feed top quality alfalfa hay and feed Desert Rose Horse Pellets.
Buzz and I have been in the TB horse business since 1991.  All the horses we breed and raise are named with the word "Buzz" in them.  No Small Buzz (Basket Weave/No Small Matter) was our first TB foal and he earned the Washington Plater Of The Year award in 1994, plus a Breeder's Cup Plaque.  The following year his half brother, Just Another Buzz (Staff Riot/No Small Matter) earned us another Breeder's Cup Plaque.
Having the opportunity to acquire Basket Weave in the fall of 2003 and using him in our breeding program was a dream come true.  He was and still is one of a kind for consistency in producing a competitive racing individual.  All the Basket Weaves "can run a little".
The addition of Top Account to our ranch is just icing on the cake.  He came to us from New York, via Charlie Gibson Horse Transportaion, and stepped off the trailer fresh as a daisy.  He has never looked back.
Top Account has a wonderful disposition.  He is a joy to be around.  He is kind to his mares and enjoys being turned out all day as does Basket WeaveThey love just being a horse.
Top Account was a high caliber race horse and posesses as strong a female family as you will find.  This will bode well for him as he makes his mark in the Northwest TB Racing world.
